If you don’t, you may actually appear in the mirror to be getting fatter since you will be building muscle under your fat, but not burning any of the fat away. Choose cardio for bursts as long as you can. Swim, bike, and run, or choose other low impact activities such as elliptical training.
Many people skip the fat burning part of this routine because they are so preoccupied with lifting weights, but fat burning is the other side of the same coin.
