<p>This article will tackle on some foods that help you lose weight.  These foods are known to have aided people in achieving good health.</p>
<p>Cinnamon.  The spike of insulin causes for us to feel hungry.  There are studies claiming that a dash of Cinnamon powder can aid in controlling the spike of insulin after meals so sprinkle some to your toast, not only that it adds spice to it but it also helps you lose weight.  Also, cinnamon is known to help in lowering blood sugar so it is best for people who have diabetes.</p>
<p>Grapefruit.  Studies show that eating grapefruit before each meal will help in losing weight.  Contents in grapefruit lower the level of insulin in the body.  This in turn will turn calories into energy instead of fat.</p>
<p>Pear.  New studies prove that pear contains more fiber than that of an apple.  It also helps in lowering blood sugar and gives you the feeling of fullness, thus, there is no need for you to munch when not necessary.</p>
<p>Chilli.  Chillies have <em>capsaicin</em> which is known to restrain one’s craving to eat.</p>
<p>Green Tea.  Green tea contains anti – oxidants that speed up the metabolism rate which in turn burns the fat.  It is also known to help lower bad cholesterol.</p>
<p>Low – Calorie Salad.  This type of salad keeps one feel full, thus, there is no need to eat more.  Also, it contains higher levels of Vitamin C, E, carotenoids, lycopene and folic acid which are disease – fighting elements.</p>
<p>Eggs.  An Egg is full of protein.  Eating eggs will keep you feel full for a longer time than the usual.  Studies also show that protein controls the spike of insulin which leads to a feeling of hunger.</p>
<p>Vinegar.  Vinegar can keep you feeling full for a longer period of time because of its <em>acetic acid</em> content which makes the channeling of food in your stomach to your intestine gradual.</p>
<p>These are just some of the foods that help you lose weight, to name a few.  Every day, more and more types of food are being discovered by nutritionists and we just have to be on the alert for more information so we can live a healthy lifestyle.</p>

<p>Just when you think, as they say, that men are from Mars, think again.  I, myself, have seen men who are narcissistic in nature.  They also dream about acquiring Gerard Butler’s abs, Hugh Jackman’s firm biceps, Will Smith’s full chest and Brad’s pretty face.  After all, it was a man, Al Pacino, who uttered the line “Vanity is my favorite sin” in the film <em>The Devil’s Advocate.  </em></p>
<p>With all of these Hollywood celebrities’ busy schedule and long line – up of activities, we get into thinking, how can stay stunningly good – looking and superbly sexy?  It is not possible that these celebrities are able to achieve these physical traits by just lying all day in the bed and doing nothing and still wake up the next day looking the way they do now.  We know that they have some sort of weight loss program that they adhere to.  Again, we think on how they are able to squeeze in to their busy schedule this time – consuming routine.</p>

<p>Indeed a weight loss plan is highly essential.  For us to be able to stay healthy, we must be able to maintain a “healthy” weight.  Unfortunately, there are times or events in our lives where we are having difficulties in controlling what we eat, like holiday or birthday parties or any celebration or event that comprises eating of prepared comfort foods.  In cases like these, it is good to know that we have our own weight loss plan that we can depend on to help us lose the weight and fats that we have accumulated from those events in our lives.</p>

<p>The first step to a healthier you is eating fresh foods.  Choose high in nutrients but low in calorie foods.  Increase vegetables and fruits intake and make them substitute to junk foods and other unhealthy foods.  Increase in vegetables and fruits will keep you from feeling hungry and thus there is no need to eating after every short period of time.</p>
<p>There are also foods in particular that can help in burning the fat.  To name a few, we have green tea, berries, whole grain and chillies.   What these do is they avoid the spike of insulin thus keeping your metabolism rate constantly going.  This way they aid in losing pounds.</p>
<p>Nutrition bars or energy bars (or granola bars) are now also becoming a major hit for people always on the go and do not have enough, or no time, to spare for a decent meal.  Good thing nowadays is that there are also ready to eat soups in the market.  Broth based soups still contain less calories per serving as compared to an energy bar.  This way, you still get energized and feel full at the same time.</p>
<p>Lastly, drink lots of water.  It is recommended that one takes eight to ten (8-10) glasses every day.  Water helps in flushing out the toxins off your system and that is why it is considered as a natural detoxifying agent.  Also, hunger is often misconstrued with thirst so whenever you feel hungry, try drinking a glass of water first and if the hunger goes away, then there is no need for you to eat.  This way, you get hydrated and you get more out of drinking water because it also aids in acquiring good skin appearance.</p>

<p>To name a few, there are different types of heart disease, hypertension, stroke or an attack in the brain that is brought about by problem with blood flow, diabetes, sleep apnea or shallow breaths while sleeping, serious knee and back pains and even cancer.</p>
<p>Not only that obesity and its causes affect us personally but it also affects our work, relationships and our love ones.</p>
<p>More than ever, today is the right time to start acting against obesity.  No reason will be acceptable enough to shy away from taking steps for a healthier you.  There are simple and trouble – free ways that can be done inside our homes that will greatly help in rapid weight loss.</p>
<p>First, as it has always been recommended not only because it is good for the skin, drinking eight to ten (8-10) glasses of water everyday will help in flushing toxins and other impurities out of your system.  To add to this, drinking tea can be a substitute detoxifying element.  So, next time, just drink lots of water instead of drinking alcohol, soda or other drinks full of calories.</p>
<p>Also, when it comes to eating, increase your fresh vegetables and fruits intake, add fiber into your menu, lessen the salt and divide your meals from three to six meals in a day.  Remember not get more than you can consume so you may not try to finish it all up in the end.  Avoid having a late night snack.  It is recommended that you do not take anything two (2) hours before sleeping.  You are not giving yourself and your body enough time to burn what you have eaten by doing this.</p>
<p>Another thing to remember doing is to do exercise or workout on a regular basis.  Fitness centers and yoga classes are almost around every corner these days.  Surely there is one a few blocks away from your place so go ahead and start by walking to the gym and do the succeeding workout inside the gym.</p>
<p>If you feel bored just getting on the pedometer or stationary bicycle, use your imagination to make working out or exercising worth the while.  You can either do your routine while watching your favorite soaps or DVDs or while listening to your favorite music.</p>
<p>One more thing that you can do to sweat those unwanted fats away while having fun is to indulge into sports.  You can play basketball, tennis, do swimming and the like.  You can even join in running events if you want if you go for more interaction.</p>
<p>The road to rapid weight loss is easy to find and traverse.  One just needs the right kind of attitude.  Try to find the fun in dieting and exercising and before you know it, you are once again able to wear your favorite skimpy jeans and shirts.</p>

<p>To get your abs to show, you can do the traditional workouts such as crunches and sit-ups several times.</p>
<p>Continuously doing these two exercises will help strengthen your stomach muscles and committing to a healthy diet will result in your desirable body. It is important to not only workout your abs, but your entire body as well.</p>
<p>A full body work out will help burn several extra calories that will reduce body fat, making your abs peak through your stomach fat. While cardio workouts help burn calories, it also causes you to lose muscle mass which will result in losing the hard work put in to your stomach muscles.</p>
<p>Other types of workouts that will help you strengthen your core that is easy to do include bridge stabilizers, the bicycle, V-ups and hanging hip raises. <p><strong>My Experience in Getting Six Pack Abs</strong></p>
<p>As summer inched closer, I wanted to get my beach body ready and priority number one was six pack abs. I committed myself to a daily workout routine that consisted of various exercises that helped strengthen my stomach muscles. Performing various types of crunches, sit-ups, V-ups and hanging hip raises helped me form acquire my desirable beach body.</p>

<p>I received my preordered copy of <em>The 4 Hour Body</em> by Timothy Ferriss, and wow, it was a real page turner. Tim warns you in the beginning that you shouldn&#8217;t read the whole thing cover to cover, but this was actually a hard bargain because his writing style is so easy and conversational.</p>
<p>The book is HUGE- clocks in at a formidable nearly 600 pages, but it is divided into portions based on what you&#8217;d like to accomplish. I decided to give his Slow Carb diet a try, starting today, after getting pretty sick of my current lazy diet of too many high cal carbs and junk.</p>
<p>While the book seems large, it really is written for goal oriented reading.  Each selection is about 100 pages, which goes really fast with Tim Ferrris&#8217;s easygoing writing style.</p>
<p>I really liked this book.  Tim includes the science behind the approaches he&#8217;s used to lose body fat and gain muscle mass at astonishing rates.  Photo evidence is included.</p>
